I've found out about the series through interview with Mr. Coltrane and found all episodes on the Net this month. I instantly fell in love with it and look forward to repeated viewings.

If you're in the UK you can get regular viewings on ITV 3. Problem is they sometimes put the episodes on in the wrong order or you'll be watching Part Two of Best Boys and next episode will be Part One of The Be a Somebody for instance. Best thing to do is get the entire box set from HMV or any other reliable retailer. It has to be out there somewhere.

The box set is available on Amazon, play.com and other places still and is quite reasonably priced. Last year you could see the whole series on Netflix but seems to have been taken off now, it's definitely still available on the Amazon film service to download now as well. Still wish one day we'd get a really good box set release with interviews, deleted scenes etc, but think thats me being hopeful more than anything! Don't think it will ever happen.

It was on around my schooling but I only really discovered it later in my twenties and college, and got deep into it. It was created. It's great to see such enthusiasts on here, I think, at risk of being pompous(!), the greatest art is quite deep and almost religious, I get why people say it 'changed their life', to me it just says something about Britain and also the human experience that is totally poetic. Nothing else I've seen moves me like it. I can't really be so 'objectively critical' about it because it touches me.
I have thought about trying to get a meeting of enthusiasts, could be interesting and who knows what creativity could come from it....
Thanks for maintaining this site.

I still keep the site 'online' even though i've not updated it for a long, long time - lack of time (3 kids pretty take up all my spare time now haha!) plus there isn't anything to update it with sadly. Highly unlikely we will ever see Fitz again on our TV screens now. It scares me that it was on TV over 20 years now...but yes it did change my life, it's still my all time favourite TV series and I still go back to it...just need a decent blu ray release now though and I'll be happy :-)

Maybe a Cracker meet one day... Love that there are enthusiasts from all over on here, it still gets new fans years down the line.
