Hi ,
My name is Paul and I am a relative newcomer to the series of Cracker. I was still at school when the series was originally shown from 1993 -1995 , but vividly remember being frightened terribly as a 12 year old in 1993 by the scene in TO SAY I LOVE YOU where Cormack the loan shark was clubbed to death. It haunted me for years , but I watched it last week and the funny thing is it is actually quite tame really and it did not have the same effect as it did 12 years ago. As I was saying , as I was too young to enjoy the show back then I have started watching the series in its entireity on ITV 3 and so far I am loving it. It is also cheaper than buying the box set. Although this website is excellent and very professional I am trying not to read to much as it may spoil stories I am yet to see. I knew cracker was a very acclaimed series but had no idea it had such a big following.I am currently looking forward to the last part of TO SAY I LOVE YOU next week.
I was wondering what all the cracker fans think of SPOOKS ? . Its one of my favourite shows and I miss it now it is not on. Like cracker , it contains a fair bit if violence and has the same gritty feel to it in certain episodes , and of course Lorcan Cranitch appears in the last episode of the first series and the first of the second as the IRA terrorist. I would love to hear your views on this other great series.

Hi Paul - welcome to the board Glad you are enjoying the series on ITV3, it's good that they are repeating it. And watching it from the start is definitely the best way to appreciate the series in full, so I don't blame you for not wanting to be too spoilt with regards to what's coming up. Although, don't know how 100% true this is, but I did read on another forum a couple of days ago that ITV3 were only showing Series 1 and 2. I was under the impression that they were showing the entire series from start to finish, so i'll have to maybe find out for definite. I think I have seen the odd episode of Spooks here and there but to be honest I have been a bit slack on the TV front recently, so have hardly seen anything at all! Didn't realise Lorcan Cranitch had appeared in though. Isn't it up to something like Series 3 now or something? Maybe i'll have to try and start watching it properly if it gets repeated on UK Gold or something
