I once wrote about the 'Brotherly Love' locations so imagine my surprise when they started filming the new episode on the road I lived on as a youngster. Filming commenced on Friday 18th November 06 on Thorn Rd Swinton Manchester and will be concluded by Sunday 20th. The film crew have taken over a house and the police are very much in evidence moving cars etc. I have not been able to drive around to have a look. I guess they are not going to use the magnificent Victorian house used as Fitz home in the last series which is a shame as the house was so realistic, there are many such houses in the Eccles area. Perhaps they are? but it would not fit the storyline as Fitz returns to the UK from Australia. I wonder if it's my old home? Keep you posted. Oh Fitz and Judith were seen being filmed in a wine bar in Manchester City Centre 2nd week in Nov.

Cheers for the info, Terry. I'm actually really going to miss Fitz & Judith's house in this new episode, as it obviously won't be in it if they've been out of the country for however many years. It was always so prominent in the original series - and you are right it was very realistic.

All I know for sure is that there's a cottage in there somplace (the company I work for supplied an alarm bell-box for it) and that there's an office with high-tech security in place (biometric scanners, CCTV cameras with control suite (20 monitors I believe?) - again because I work for the company supplying the props oh, and a "seedy nightclub toilet" where someone will be found dead... a co-worker of mine wanted to "tag" a cubicle but the set designers wouldn't let him
